The Band of the United States Air Force Reserve, plus over 200 of Collier County’s finest local musicians, a Festival Art Show, and childrens’ activities will be featured at the Bayshore Festival of the Arts at Sugden Regional Park on January 29 and 30, 2011. This festival is presented by Bayshore Cultural and Performing Arts, Inc. (CAPA) and the Bayshore/Gateway Triangle CRA. Admission is FREE.
In addition to the Band of the United States Air Force Reserve, "America’s Band", more than 200 of Collier County’s finest local musicians will perform at Bayshore Festival of the Arts, including Naples Concert Band, Paradise Coastmen Barbershop Chorus, Naples Daily News Jazz Band,Frank Corso’s Spoonful, Frontline Bluegrass, Monroe Station, Stu Shelton Trio, Rebecca Richardson, The Trio!, Bob Zottola’s Expandable Jazz Band, West Of Galway, Conjunto Kafe, Golden Gate Middle School Jazz Band, Lely High School Jazz Band, Seacrest High School Chorus and Opera Naples Young Artists.
The Festival will also feature award winning local visual artists in an Art Show coordinated by Gabrielle Nappo, children’s activities, food and beverage booths, and more. It promises two full days of fun and FREE cultural enrichment for everyone.
The Bayshore/Gateway Triangle CRA Area was designated a Cultural District in 2008. Bayshore CAPA has been working to promote the concept through its mission to create a state-of-the-art Cultural and Performing Arts Center that showcases local visual and performing artists, thereby providing accessible and affordable cultural, performance and educational opportunities for the community.
